Maltichon

History

Maltichon, a mix of Bichon Frise and Maltese, is very affectionate and loving dog. This is a hybrid or designer dog. Maltichon is produced by breeding a purebred Bichon Frise and purebred Maltese. The weight of small size Maltichon is around 8 to 10 pounds. The height of this dog ranges between 8 to 12 inches. Life expectancy of Maltichon is 12 to 15 years.

Temperament

Maltichons are family oriented and are gentle with children. They are brilliant family companions and can get along with other dogs and pets among the family. They can be outstanding playing buddies to children because of their excellent companion nature. These are quiet dogs and they bark only when necessary. Maltichons are fine watchdogs because of their natural tendencies. They have quick learning tendencies, so it is very easy to train them. Maltichon is very fragile, so kids should be prevented from treating them roughly and rudely.

Maltichon is a hybrid dog, so it is free from lots of health problems. Hybrid dogs are healthier than purebred dogs. But, Maltichon may inherit some health issues from its parent breeds. Therefore, before purchasing a puppy, you must also check it clinically.
