Jatzu

Jatzu is a cross between the Japanese Spaniel and the Shih Tzu. They have the best characteristic traits of both the parent breeds- Japanese Spaniel and Shih Tzu. Just like its parent breed- Shih Tzu, these small sized dogs are known for their cheerful and loving nature. They are among the best choices for apartment dwellers.

Physical Appearance

Jatzu is a small dog with an average weight lying between 8 and 20 pounds and height around 11 inches. They have a well-proportionate body with floppy ears and small, dainty feet. They are available in different colors like apricot, black, black and tan, brown, and white. They have a thick and soft coat with fine and silky hair. They require moderate grooming with regular brushing of coat. Occasional trimming and clipping are required to keep them away from diseases. The coat of the Jatzu can be black & white or apricot & white. They have low to minimal shedding. They require moderate amount of exercise to stay healthy and fit. They love to play indoors with kids and their toys.

Temperament

Jatzu is a social pet that likes to play with children and other pets. They are affectionate and loving and need human attention. To get their masters’ attention, they will try to amuse them with their little tricks. They are quite alert and bark loudly if they see any stranger. This ability makes them a good watchdog. They are moderately intelligent, and therefore easy to train.

Health

Jatzu do not have any known allergies or specific medical conditions. They may get tear stains but otherwise their eyes are healthy. They are comfortable in all types of climate.
