Bichon-A-Ranian

History

Bichon-A-Ranian is a small cross breed designer dog known for its intelligence and loyalty. Also known as Pomeranian and Pom Frise, Bichon-A-Ranian are a mix of a Bichon Frise and a Pomeranian purebreds. For those who are looking for a small family dog, Bicon-A-Ranian makes a great choice. Physical Appearance

Bichon-A-Ranian is small sized dog, as both the parent breeds, Bichon Frise and Pomeranian, are small dogs themselves. Typically they grow up to 9 to 11 inches in height and weight between 5 to 10 pounds. Their small size makes them ideal for apartments and smaller homes as well, as they do not need lot of room to exercise. Their coat can be either white or curly like the Bichon or straight with brown, red, tan, orange or black colors like the Pomeranian.

Temperament

Bichon-A-Ranian is very playful, energetic and fun loving dog. They need some bit of playtime daily to keep them in good shape and mood. This breed is very friendly, social and outgoing by temperament. They love to stay indoors and chew toys. They can be trained easily provided its done in early years. They may not be the best breed with kids, however if they grow up with kids right from the early days, then they do gel well with them. They are quite intelligent and can be trained easily and quickly. This breed is not very curious type, and will stay away from stuff that are not supposed to be for them.

Health Concerns

Some of the major health concerns commonly found in Bichon-A-Ranian are patellar luxation and hip dysplasia. Other less common illnesses include cataracts and tooth loss. They need moderate amount of exercise to stay healthy.
