A terrifying seven-foot creature has allegedly been spotted wandering the streets of Sante Fe, Argentina.
The figure resembles some sort of half human and half animal type alien – like something from ancient folklore or a horror movie. Locals have described it as resembling a camel or a large dog-man hybrid with very long, thin limbs.
Local residents are concerned for their safety because the creature has already allegedly killed two large dogs, which were reportedly a pit bull and a German shepherd.
“Evidence” in the form of a creepy image has been captured of the unknown being, which you can see in the video below:
One commenter on the video claimed he witnessed the creature cross a bridge in 2005. “It blew my mind because it looked at us and turned and began moving just like a kangaroo would and cleared the concrete bridge wall easily and dropped at least 15 to 20 feet,” he wrote.
Another said, “That thing is demonic. Very cryptic. When a mysterious creature appears, it magically disappears. Sounds like a spirit. You cannot find evidence of a spirit.”
People are now speculating whether the being could be a mythical demon such as the legendary Chupacabra, which, according to folklore, is a blood-sucking creature that feeds on animals, such as livestock.
However, those who have spotted the photo of the creature online are skeptical and say it more likely resembles a computer-generated image of Remus Lupin from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Regardless of whether or not it turns out to be real or just a hoax, it’s still really freaky!
We change a lot during the early part of our lives. That’s why it’s so fun to look through our baby photographs to see how much we’ve changed over the years, but that’s a luxury that hasn’t been afforded to 23-year-old Manpreet Singh who stopped growing in 1997 before he was two years old.
Manpreet, who is from Hisar, India, was born in 1995, and, at first, he appeared to be a perfectly normal and healthy baby. It was only when he stopped growing at the age of one and weighing a mere 11lbs that his family realized that there was something seriously wrong with him.
Despite technically being a man, the 23-year-old needs round-the-clock care, and to the unsuspecting onlooker, is just like any other child. Becuase of the demands his unusual condition poses, he does not live with his parents but his aunt and uncle.
He is referred to in his village as the “pint-sized man” and his carried everywhere by his 42-year-old aunt, Lakhwinder Kaur.
To learn more about Manpreet and discover how a cure could change his life forever, check out the video below:
Manpreet has swollen arms and hands and his face is covered in saggy skin – presumably because it failed to grow correctly. Unable to talk, he communicates through gestures and is able to laugh, scream and cry.
“Manpreet giggles like a toddler and seldom gets sad,” his 45-year-old uncle Karanvir Singh said.
“It’s only when the dogs or any other animal makes a sound, he gets terrified and cries.”
As it stands, the cause of Manpreet’s stunted development remains unknown. Doctors, however, have said that there that he has a hormonal imbalance, and scientists have speculated that he is suffering from a rare condition known as Laron Syndrome.
With only 300 confirmed cases in the world, it involves the absence of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1, or IGF-1, which is necessary for cells to grow.
It’s kind of nice when a guy is close with his family. After all, a lot can be determined by how a man treats others. However, sometimes being close can be too close.
We’ve all probably had to deal with meddling parents, but what about a sister? Sometimes siblings can be overprotective of each other but for one Australian man, his sister was acting just downright creepy. Jacinta, a 30-year-old from Australia, tells the tale of how her boyfriend’s creepy sister ended their relationship. Jacinta says she had been in a relationship with a man named Jack and initially found his closeness to his tight-knit family endearing. He was a kind and sensitive man who “never had a bad word to say about anyone” and Jacinta fell for him. She understood that he and his sister, Mel, were close, but didn’t realize just how close at first. Their family home had lots of pictures of the siblings together and Mel was always very supportive of Jack, but it soon became apparent that Mel had few friends of her own and often showed up at Jacinta and Jack’s dates. “I started to notice that nine out of 10 times we went out, Melinda would be there,” Jacinta claimed. “She never seemed to go out with her own friends. She would always sit next to Jack. Would do whatever Jack said. Never had a difference of opinion to Jack. Never even fought with Jack.” She continued, “By contrast, my siblings and I fought like cats and dogs growing up.” If you’re wondering if this all sounds a little family, it’s probably because Rachel from Friends found herself in a very similar situation with her boyfriend:
Once, Jacinta claims that Mel was spying while she and Jack snuggled on the couch. Mel glared at the couple while holding a glass of while, and once Jack acknowledged her presence, she stormed off. Jack simply rubbed off the encounter by saying his sister was “not in a good mood”. However, things got creepier when Mel admitted her “dream guy” was her brother and Jacinta found her in his bed one day. “I was going to stay over, so I went into his bedroom and was trying to set up and she was asleep in his bed,” Jacinta said. “It was the straw that broke the camel’s back… I had to walk out of the room and ask Jack why she was there.” Jacinta reveals that Jack simply said “she does that sometimes” and defensively tried to convince Jacinta that it was normal behavior. Jacinta broke it off with Jack because of the creepy behavior and the fact that she didn’t want to be the one who came between him and his family. She claims she once ran into an ex-girlfriend of Jack’s and she told Jacinta that her only competition was Mel, which made Jacinta wonder if his ex had ended her relationship with Jack for the same reasons. “I like close families but it’s difficult to have a relationship with someone when there was always a third wheel… especially when the third wheel is from the same genetic makeup,” Jacinta said. Jacinta is now happily married. There is no word on how Jack, or his sister, are doing these days.
Mental illness blights the lives of millions. Every day, they have to fight a battle that no one can see inside their mind. It’s a lonely experience for many, and it can lead some into a place so dark that they believe they have no option other than to take their own lives.
But one woman suddenly decided not to end her life because of a simple message on a Starbucks cup. To those who don’t know her, Bekah Georgy of Salem, New Hampshire, is a happy young woman who loves dogs, ballet and spending time with her friends and family, but she has a dark secret which has consumed most of her life so far. “When you look at me, you might assume I’m happy, bubbly, outgoing, and full of life. But you don’t really see the complete me. You wouldn’t know that behind this plastered smile is a girl who has broken and fallen to pieces,” she revealed “You wouldn’t know this girl had so much self-hate, she starved herself for over half her young life.” Bekah suffers from anorexia nervosa and her battle with the illness has caused her to attempt to end her life five times already. In October 2015, she opened up to the mental health website The Mighty about a small act of kindness which stopped her from trying to end her life again. No matter how bad her mental and physical health is, one of the constants in Bekah’s life is her love of coffee. In the story that she recounted, she wrote that on one particularly dark day, when she was consumed by suicidal thoughts, all she wanted was an iced coffee from Starbucks, and it was this simple craving that ended up making an immeasurable difference to her life. The story was written in the form of a letter to the Starbucks barista who unknowingly saved her.
“Dear barista,You didn’t know me and you didn’t know my story. Most importantly, you probably didn’t know writing the simple word ‘smile’ on my order would change my day for the better. When you look at me, you might assume I’m happy, bubbly, outgoing and full of life. But you don’t really see the complete me.”
“You wouldn’t know that behind this plastered smile is a girl who has broken and fallen to pieces. You wouldn’t know this girl had so much self-hate, she starved herself for over half her young life.Or that she’s tried to end her own life five times.”
“I’m guessing you didn’t know these past few weeks, and that day particularly had been extremely hard. You were just going about your job, unaware that writing a minuscule word on my drink would change my day and possibly my life.”
“Maybe you wrote ‘smile’ on my drink because you saw the feeding tube. Or maybe you could see past my fake smile because you’ve been where I am.Either way, I’m grateful. You didn’t have to make my order special. You could have treated me like another annoying customer. But you took that extra second to add some positivity to a life that’s been filled with so much negativity lately.”
Tragically, eating disorders and death are closely linked. Those who suffer from them are the most likely sufferers of any mental illness to die, and one in five of these deaths is the result of suicide. In fact, without treatment, 20% of all sufferers will lose their lives.
“You see, my day consisted of a horrible doctor’s appointment and a horrible therapy session.I was filled with hopelessness, and my suicidal thoughts were getting worse.”
“When my anorexia is bad, sometimes coffee is the only thing I can drink. But I was afraid to consume even coffee that day.”
“If I hadn’t encountered that cup, I could have done more damage to myself that night. When I read that word, I couldn’t help but smile, literally.”
“A simple act of kindness can mean the world to someone. It can provide hope for the hopeless. Now I plan to pass this hope along. So barista, thank you. Thank you for turning my day around.”
It’s a common misconception that those who suffer from eating disorders do so because they want to be beautiful. For many people, eating disorders are a way of controlling the world around them, and, after being sexually abused as a child, that was the case for Becca. Check out this video below where one woman describes how the kindness of strangers saved her life:
Recovering from anorexia isn’t an easy process – it certainly isn’t just a case of eating more. People with anorexia often develop other conditions like muscle atrophy. They not only need to change their relationship and attitude towards food and their body but deal with the effects which anorexia has wreaked on their body. Recovery involves a lot of hospital visits and therapy, which can lead to other mental health conditions like depression. That’s why the barista’s small act of kindness meant so much to Becca, whose entire world was consumed by a fight against her own mind. In the UK, 46% of those who suffer from anorexia nervosa recover completely, 33% improve, and 20% remain chronically ill. So the next time you see someone who looks like they are having a bad day, go out of your way to brighten it. They might be fighting a battle that you can’t see and a small act of kindness could end up saving their life. Dogs aren’t called man’s best friend for nothing. They’ve been our companions for hundreds of years, and their intelligence and empathy towards others is what makes them so lovable. It’s no wonder that they’re now being used as a form of therapy.
Unfortunately, dogs have a tendency to wander off. Nine times of ten, they turn up again unscathed with their tail between their legs – usually after being found by a kindly member of the public. That’s why identity tags are so important. When 12-year-old Louis went missing, his humans were understandably distraught. He’s an old dog, and because of this, it was easy for them to fear the worst. What they didn’t know, however, was that he had disappeared to go on a heroic mission… After being gone for an entire afternoon, Louis’ family were delighted when their beloved dog eventually returned. He belongs to a woman named Marolyn Diver, who lives with her family in New Zealand. “He looked so exhausted and had basically just collapsed,” Marolyn said. Aside from Louis’ exhaustion, there was one other clue about what he had gotten up to – a note which had been attached to his collar. Louis had obviously encountered some people, and they had a message they wanted to get back to his owners. “We were concerned someone might have hurt him,” Marolyn revealed. “But after reading the note I felt complete and utter relief, then my heart melted.” The note read, “Louis is the hero of the day. He led me to Maddy in distress stuck under a branch pile. Cheers, Rob.” Who is Maddy? I hear you ask. Maddy is another dog who belongs to a farmer called Rob. He lives around a mile away from Louis’ family. Just like Louis, Maddy, pictured below, had disappeared that day. But she was eventually found again when Rob came home and also Louis on his farm. Louis apparently acted in such a way that Rob knew he wanted to lead him somewhere. At first, he wasn’t sure how to react to Louis, but decided to follow the dog on the off chance that he would lead him to something important – and Louis certainly did that, saving Maddy from being trapped under a pile of branches! “Rob said he was 100% sure that Louis knew what he was doing, and getting Rob to Maddy was his one pure focus,” Marolyn said. “Once he found her, Louis helped Rob dig her out, pulling at branches, digging out the ground. Rob said the second she was free both dogs ran to a nearby pond and jumped into it exhausted and drinking water.” “He then gave Louis a huge handful of dog biscuits as a thank you. He knew Louis might get in trouble for being late home, so he thought he would write a small note to explain his absence.” Louis wasn’t just a much-loved family pet, he was also a rescue dog (and a rescuer!). So if you’re thinking about getting a canine companion yourself, why not consider homing a hero dog of the future? They’ll repay you in ways you could never imagine. “[His heroic act] changed the way I look at him. And I think my parents feel the same way,” Marolyn said. “I am so proud of him.” But Louis isn’t the only hero dog in the world. Check out this incredible pooch who helped save an 11-year-old girl’s life! It just goes to show that there are some exceptionally good doggos out there.
As a law-abiding member of society, I have definitely never been stoned (honest). However, a lot of people I know have, and they’ve recounted their dramatic experiences to me. One of these friends of mine actually got high after accidentally eating a pot brownie.
When cannabis is eaten, its effects are more potent, and this person experienced a phenomenon known as “greening out”. They reportedly felt paranoid, convinced that the other partygoers were going to kill them, before going into a spaced-out trance. The effects of drugs vary from person to person, however, the smaller someone is, generally speaking, the greater the chances are that they will experience adverse effects. That’s why sane people never give drugs to animals. It’s a form of abuse. So when a hungry squirrel accidentally ate magic mushrooms, the results were dramatic to say the least. It only takes a small amount of the drug to get an average-sized human stoned, and the squirrel was rendered almost completely incapacitated. The stoned squirrel was found by a kindly dog walker who noticed that he was in some serious trouble. She initially assumed that the animal had been attacked, but it didn’t take her long to see the mushroom patch and work out what had happened. People who have taken magic mushrooms have reported various side effects, but the number one effect of the natural drug is hallucinations. There have been no recorded fatalities associated with magic mushrooms, so the squirrel’s life wasn’t in danger. But nothing could have prepared him for the accidental trip he was about to go on… Magic mushrooms might be the third safest drug in the world, but if they are consumed in large quantities their side effects can be extreme to say the least. That’s why they are illegal in many countries including the United States. The dog walker filmed the stoned squirrel and uploaded the footage to YouTube under the name Vet Wife. “So the dogs and I were walking, and we found this little guy in the park,” she said. “At first, I thought he’d gotten attacked by a dog or something. He [tried] to stand up, and he [flopped] all over the place.” “I saw that he had something in his mouth and realised [that] the b*gger’s been munching on mushrooms.” “I’m not sure if those are poisonous or not, but they definitely got him in a tizzy. So I’m going to try and take him back.” The woman tries to usher her dogs away from the stoned squirrel. When one of them gets close to it, the squirrel manages to stagger away, but he wasn’t able to get far. The stoned squirrel was terrified and confused. However, the dog soon gave up sniffing it. “Yeah, he’s pretty stoned,” the woman says as the video ends. You can watch the dramatic footage on YouTube here: But it turns out that there are some animals which deliberately take psychedelic drugs. Dolphins, for example, have been known to squeeze puffer fish so that they can get high on their nerve toxins, putting them into a trance-like state. We can only hope that this squirrel didn’t have a bad trip, and that he got the care he needed as he came down. There’s no doubt that people will begin to speculate about that the squirrel saw on his trip. This is what I hope happened. That, or he went on an epic journey through the cosmos for acorns.
