This is our Nina, she is a seven months old Siberian Husky. I would like to enter her in this contest as a tribute to her.
She's a hero at home... you see, I suffer from Mitochondrial Degenerative Disorder IV, which makes moving around extremely difficult; few weeks ago, my stove's oven caught fire and without her "intervention", the whole house would have burned down...

One day, our neighbors showed us these really cute chihuahua puppies that their dog birthed. My dad absolutely loves chihuahuas, so he (jokingly) asked if one of the puppies could sleep over at our house. He wasn't expecting them to say yes, but they did. so, we had this five-inch-long puppy that stayed the night. the next day when the puppy, known then as Freckles, went home, he didn't stop whining until finally he just got sort of forcefully given to us. of course, now my dad and dog, now known as bean, are inseperable.

I had been looking online at the pound to find a dog for my boss who had recently moved here. That was when I saw her. She was beautiful, a replica of my Macy Bean. I quickly jotted down her ID number and went on a hunt to find the phone numbers of the other two people who adopted Macy's siblings. I called my fellow teacher first, and she said her little boy dog who she named Sam, had just died from Parvo a week earlier. So, that left one person, I called my old student and she said she was moving to Phoenix and the dog had gotten sick. She said she couldn’t afford the Vet costs, so she took the dog to the pound two weeks earlier.

Also known as Cinderalla Tinkerbell Princess. I adopted Cinderella from the Orange County Humane Society after the unexpected loss of our beloved dog, Trigger. I was somewhat searching for a new addition and my sister-in-law kept e-mailing Cinderella’s posting from petfinder.com.
It seems as though no one wanted to adopt her and she had been at the Humane Society for some time. She was known as a shelter “Star Pet” She resembled the pet we recently lost and that was basically my attraction to her. When we went to the shelter to visit, it was love at first sight. Cinderella has been the best addition to our home!
