 I am Missouri Regional Coordinator for Chihuahua Rescue USA. We are located in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Connecticut. We are a non profit 501c3 organization.
As a rescue volunteer I witness all kinds of situations on a daily basis. Dogs have feelings too. It is a great feeling  to take a poor little dog, and just by giving them a little attention, they give you back big kisses! I talk to people everyday about what they can do to help the rescue world and I often suggest fostering as an option. People do reply, however, saying they would get too attached. It is really hard to describe the feeling you get when you find the perfect match for that poor little fur ball that has come from such a bad situation.  We try to save as many as we can, but, due to the lack of foster homes, we just can't save them all. We have adopted over 225 Chihuahuas to date. We currently have over 40 in foster care. We have many dogs with medical issues that require daily medications.
