I made an arrangement for the lady to bring him by my dad's house so they could make sure we had a safe and nice house with a fenced in yard. My dad and I had lost our border collie Otis a year prior before I was able to talk him into letting me look for another dog. Once the lady showed up at our house and my dad saw him, he was alittle worried about his height. But once we all were sitting around talking he instantly jumped up on the couch between my dad and I. He loves to be right up with someone even if it means sitting between the two of you. I gave the lady my adoption paper for him along with references and she told me she would contact me by the end of the week. Sure enough Friday afternoon I got a call saying that as sad as she is to see him go, he's going to a good home and would like to know when she could bring him over to us. I told her tonight I would love to have him asap. I instantly got so happy that I left work 2 hours early, went and got huge bowls, food, treats, toys, everything. My dad, fiance, and I sat around until she brought him over. She cried when she had to leave but he was completely content rough housing with my fiance. He is such a huge part of mine and my dad's life I love to see him looking out the window and barking when I pull up for lunch or after work, but sad when I hear him cry while he's watching drive away leaving for work.

I got this dog for a sercurity and lonely feeling for myself, but mostly for my disabled father who had a stroke in his mid 30's and needed some compainionship during the day since the divorce from my mother. I will always adopt my dogs, no matter what breed. There is always some animal that needs love and can give you that love that you need as well.
