Twitter can be a troll-filled, argumentative place at the best of times. So it’s always nice when something comes along that actually brings people together.
On Monday, Lucie Dunne from Glasgow, Scotland shared some photos of a letter a child at her mum’s school sent her after their dog died.
“Mum’s been so upset about the dog being put to sleep and stressing about having to go back into school today, and she got this from a wee boy in her class,” Dunne wrote.
The card was written by a boy called Callum.
“To Mrs Dunne,” he wrote on the front. “Sorry if you don’t like it or it makes you emotional.”
Inside the card was a poem:
It’s that last line that really gets you.
At the time of writing, Dunne’s tweet has been shared around 20,000 times and made into a Twitter Moment.
Pretty much all the reactions said a similar thing.
Whoever Callum’s parents are they need a good pat on the back for raising a lovely, thoughtful child.
